What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior. ABA refers to a set of principles that focus on how behaviors change, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. The term behavior refers to skills and actions needed to talk, play, and live.

What is a LPES?

A Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist (LPES) is a certified professional in the state of South Carolina. A LPES has completed graduate level coursework and practical experience in School Psychology. The LPES allows School Psychologists to use their knowledge, training and expertise in assessment and intervention in the private sector. 

What is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Individuals certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services.They are responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), observing behavior, outlining behavior goals, developing and implementing treatment plans, and making adjustments to those plans as necessary to meet client goals.
